Electric Utility Vehicles for New Zealand Work, Land & Lifestyle
Electric equipment is becoming a smarter choice for rural operations.
Lower maintenance. Lower running costs. Quiet operation. No exhaust fumes.
At EV East, we specialise in practical electric solutions for farms, orchards, vineyards and other commercial operations across New Zealand.
We’re not a traditional farm equipment dealer adding electric models to the range. Electric is what we do.
Our role is to understand the work you need to get done, then help identify the right electric platform for the job.
Why Electric Makes Sense
For many everyday utility jobs, electric equipment can now offer a practical alternative to petrol and diesel machinery.
Lower Maintenance
Electric drivetrains have fewer moving and service components than combustion engines, helping reduce routine maintenance and downtime.
Lower Running Costs
Charging an electric vehicle can significantly reduce day-to-day energy costs, particularly for equipment used regularly around a property.
Quiet Operation
Move around livestock, staff, guests and neighbouring properties without constant engine noise.
Clean at the Point of Use
No exhaust fumes makes electric particularly attractive around orchards, vineyards, food production and other environments where clean operation matters.
For businesses promoting environmental credentials to local and international customers, electrifying suitable equipment can also become part of the wider sustainability story.
The Right Electric Machine for the Job
There is no single vehicle that suits every property.
That’s why we are developing a range of electric utility solutions covering everything from everyday transport to demanding off-road work and specialist remotely operated machinery.
Our role is to understand the work you need to get done, then help identify the right electric platform for the job.
We also provide parts, servicing, finance options and local support through our Tauranga base, Marlborough branch and NZ partner network.
Light Utility
Simple, Efficient Transport for Everyday Work
Ideal where full 4WD capability isn't required.
Light utility vehicles provide an economical way to move people, tools and equipment around relatively established tracks and working areas.
Potential applications include:
- General property transport
- Orchard and vineyard work
- Inspection and maintenance
- Moving tools and supplies
- Light cargo duties
Rather than paying for capability you don't need, the aim is to match the vehicle to the actual work.
All-Terrain Utility
More Capability for Demanding Ground
For farms and properties where terrain becomes more challenging, our all-terrain electric range adds greater ground clearance, stronger suspension, off-road tyres and available four-wheel-drive capability.
Our EKO Cargo X range provides flexible passenger and cargo configurations, while the growing Cengo UTV range takes electric capability further for more demanding workloads.
High-Capability Electric UTVs
When the Work Gets Serious
Some jobs require considerably more than a converted golf-style utility vehicle.
Our Cengo range represents the next level of electric UTV capability, designed for customers who need stronger off-road performance, carrying ability and serious working capability without returning to petrol or diesel.
The Cengo F12 is the first model in this growing range, with additional electric UTV options to follow.
Specialist Electric Equipment
Not every job needs someone sitting behind a steering wheel.
We are expanding our utility range to include specialist electric equipment such as remote-control tracked crawlers and other purpose-built machines.
These solutions can open up new ways of tackling difficult, repetitive or specialised work while retaining the benefits of electric operation.
Electric Is Our Starting Point
EV East specialises in electric mobility and utility equipment.
That means our focus isn't on convincing you to purchase whatever happens to already be sitting in a traditional machinery range. We look at the requirement first, then work with our manufacturing partners to find practical electric solutions.
With operations in Tauranga and Blenheim, along with partner support around New Zealand, we provide advice, parts, servicing and ongoing support for the equipment we supply.
Supply. Support. Service.
